Blog news
I have been trying to get my blog going for the longest time. It was sitting there in the middle of the Guilty section of my to-do list, and not getting any nearer the top - always important but never urgent. Well, finally it saw the light of day. Have a look at it here, and you will see that, like most other attempted bloggers, I have struggled and largely failed to post to it often enough. So it is going through a revamp. This blog was designed to mirror my website, and that seems to cramp my writing style. So watch out for the new blog, and we'll see how much effect design has on its use.
Missed something?
It may now be old news. If so, it will be on my new Old News page.Deep change
Our change plans tend to stay on the surface. We focus on all the things that have to be done to move from point A to point B, but we give less attention to the underlying influences that could easily undermine the change. Attitudes and behaviours in organisations are governed by a wide variety of factors, including such things as the ways in which people are recognised and rewarded, how key messages pass around the organisation (officially and unofficially), and so on.
To achieve sustained change, we need to identify how all these factors are operating in your organisation, and what needs to happen to them so that they can have a positive influence on the change, rather than compromising it.
