Blog news
I have been trying to get my blog going for the longest time. It was sitting there in the middle of the Guilty section of my to-do list, and not getting any nearer the top - always important but never urgent. Well, finally it saw the light of day. Have a look at it here, and you will see that, like most other attempted bloggers, I have struggled and largely failed to post to it often enough. So it is going through a revamp. This blog was designed to mirror my website, and that seems to cramp my writing style. So watch out for the new blog, and we'll see how much effect design has on its use.

There's no point setting out on a journey without some idea of your destination. A truism, I know, but let's unpick it a bit. It's not quite as linear as it seems at first. The journey itself can be thoroughly worthwhile, and you may not know at the outset what the final destination will be, or you may discover a new destination that you weren't aware of at the start of the journey. Even so, if you are to avoid going around in circles, and particularly if you want your colleagues to make the journey with you, it is critical to start out clear about your intentions, and using that to communicate a strong sense of direction.
